I hope everyone is alive, and lost property can be recovered/replaced somehow.
Holy, I feel like crying every time I see a picture of home.
It makes me feel a little guilty being so far away from home when the disaster struck--
it's heartbreaking to see all the videos and pictures.
Here's something that is NOTHING compared to what we're seeing in the news
and most online postings; Nothing compared to other stories out there...
But something nonetheless very close to my heart.

Do you recognize it? You just have to look at my recent deviations to compare.
These were taken by my aunt, who was stuck on the second floor with my grandmother that day.

Here are some of the neighbors, clinging to vehicles and gates. >_<

And here's the post-deluge pictures.
No more photoshoots, christmas parties, homecomings...everything's just mud.
By the look of things, things can't be set aright by Christmas, even.

No more lush greenery, lovely fountains and no more fish.

I don't know what to think, looking at these pictures.
I've seen the living room flooded before, but never like this.
No more pretty upholstery, the piano lying on the floor in the middle of the room...holy lord...

Above, the remains of our comfy family van, and below what's left of the antique furniture in the formal dining room.

I thank those who offer their help, but the truth is that there are more families out there who need assistance. My family is, thankfully, all living and well...and here I am, fine and dandy in Poland...I don't need my imagination to realize how much worse this storm has affected others. Please help those who have lost more.
For the bigger picture here's a better report from *behindinfinity, for those who haven't heard/seen what has happened to Manila. At the bottom is a list of ways in which you can help FROM WHEREVER YOU'RE COMING FROM.
