On nights of wolfish howling
fragile, an owl descends, soft watchful eyes cocooning the hunter's wounded pet. This world has but three corners. This trap is a healing cove. Here lie by cruelty bandaged willing hostages bound in love. ~~~ Diana and Luke, who belong to Adele Lorienne aka *Saimain ...and Julian, who belongs to Kelly Kilbourn from their fantasy world "Not All Kings Wear Gold"~ Let me try to sum up the fascinating story behind this illustration (I hope I get things right) without giving too much away: Luke, tortured by madness, has two companions--rivals for his affection: the fair and loving winged elf, Diana, and the dark, seemingly cruel vampire, Julian. One provides calm and comfort; warm, tender moments and a simple joys. The other provides satisfaction of darker needs, release so to speak, but also has the power to exercise control when all else fails. With a protector more fragile than he and a guardian that may well be a predator, Prince Luke lives, between sanity and madness, in this constantly precarious arrangement...and here hopes to convalesce. ~~~ This has been sitting in my drawing board for so long now, but in truth it took 5 days work. I managed to count since I took a photo every time I got to work on it, before leaving it untouched for another week. (I'm just so busy, I've begun to be quite bitter with myself for not having time to draw anymore. T_T) Anyway, I'm happy with how it came out, and look forward to working on a new piece.  Black ink on Board. Color in Photoshop. Although this is, of course, dedicated primarily to   , I also want to THANK EVERYONE who has supported me on dA for my 4 years of stay.
